WHEN WILL I BE A MILLIONAIRE?

Great question. Terrible answer. This calculator does one thing: divides one million by how much you save each month. No compound interest, no stock market fantasies, no crypto miracles. Just cold, honest, elementary school math.

The formula is embarrassingly simple. Take a million, subtract what you already have, divide by what you save monthly. Saving $500/month from zero? 2,000 months. 166 years. At $1,000 it's 83 years. At $2,000 it's 41, which sounds almost reasonable until you try saving $2,000 a month.

WHY NO COMPOUND INTEREST?

Because every other calculator already does that, and they all assume 7-10% returns forever. That's what people assumed before 2008 too. We show the floor. The worst case. Pure savings, zero magic. If you invest wisely, great, you'll beat our number. If you keep cash under the mattress, this is your timeline.

We also compare your millionaire age against average life expectancy. EU: 82. US: 78. UK: 81. If the math says you'll be a millionaire at 247, we'll let you know you'll also be dead. Not to be dramatic. Just accurate.

The median American saves about $500/month. At that rate: 166 years. The median European saves less. The math is not great for most of us. But that's sort of the point of this site.
